Site Support

Ross Wood is managed by a Scout Active Support Unit. We welcome members who share our ethos to provide a fully inclusive, accessible camp site that delivers outdoor adventure for all.

District Explorers

Ross Wood is a youth engaged site. This means we listen to our youth section to help shape our vision. Our District Explorers (aged 14-18) undertake projects to develop the site

Work Parties

We hold work party days throughout the year. We invite all our District adult volunteers to join us for a day and complete a job. It could be painting a fence, cleaning a building, fence repairs, clearing leaves or creating an activity. Whatever the task there is always plenty to do and plenty of hands needed. All District adult members are emailed the dates for working party events.

SASU

We have Team SASU who are all volunteers spending weekends maintaining and developing Ross Wood as well as supporting the wide variety of activities available. If you would like to find out more or have a trade skill you can offer please click here
